When this ending occurs, Zen tells Jumin that he wants to go on TV and have an interview with a talk show host. For a brief explanation of bad ending two, the ending occurs when MC tries to convince Zen to quit his job and focus on her at all times. Even in bad ending two,when MC is emotionally abusive and tries to force Zen to quit acting, he still chooses his job over MC. Yes, he has been shown to not want to disappoint MC which is why he’s been heavily identified as a simp, but he obviously puts a line between his own personal boundaries and MC.
He didn’t do whatever he could to make sure he pleases MC (except in bad ending one but I’ll get into that). In almost every route, but more importantly his own, Zen is described to be a complete workaholic. Zen’s purpose for living is not for the sake of being with a girl, in fact, it’s the opposite.
You see, to be a simp you usually do whatever you can to be with a woman (I’m just going to classify simps as male and the simpee as female because that’s easier). Now that I’ve explained what a simp is, I need to explain why Zen isn’t a simp. Though, in recent times, it has become more so a trend to describe a simp as any man who respects women. A simp is slang to describe a person (mostly male) who would do anything to date or stay with someone (mostly female). Before I go any further, I think I should first give the definition of a simp, before explaining why Zen isn’t one, and why V is (even though it’s pretty obvious why V’s a simp). V, on the other hand, is definitely a simp. That does not mean there isn’t a simp in our mysmes universe. This is very wrong, as Zen does not meet the “criteria” of being such. In fact, he has been heavily and wrongly dubbed as such on various social media platforms such as Instagram, and Tiktok.
Zen is a character that would be heavily identified as a simp to those who use the word.
